Caroline is a Chartered Quality Professional with over 16 years of experience in advisory and management roles within the construction, banking, finance, insurance and consultancy sectors.

Caroline holds a B.A. in Business Studies, a Safety, Health and Environmental Diploma, is a Certified Lead Auditor and holds a Master Trainer Certificate from the Irish Management Institute (IMI).

Caroline has significant experience in developing and delivering ISO Management Systems, she has worked with hundreds of businesses in Ireland, UK and America where she assisted them in the development and implementation of their management systems across a variety of industry sectors including Professional Services, Finance, Local Authority, Government, Training & Education, Transport & Logistics, Waste Management, Utilities, Banking, Manufacturing, Motorway Maintenance, Engineering and Construction sectors.

Caroline is regarded as a leader in her field and has developed a strong reputation for being passionate, professional, dedicated, results driven, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very much client-focused.

In 2015 she was also recognised by Business and Finance as one of the top movers and shakers in Ireland. Caroline has consistently been highly recommended by many other organisations and is described by her clients as an “outstanding professional with relentless energy”. Caroline has recently been appointed to the board of Quality Ireland.

Sean has more than 35 years’ experience as a Risk Management Practitioner with experience across a very broad range of organisations and disciplines. He has worked with a number of Insurers and was Risk Consulting Practice Leader for Marsh in Ireland up until 2012. Sean has worked with a diverse range of clients (From Online Gaming to Government Enforcement Agencies) in the implementation of Risk Management systems.

Ayrton group now employ over 100 professionals, in all aspects of construction, as well as other safety roles. His qualifications include an MSc from Loughborough University & Diploma from UCC. Having first joined IOSH in 1995, Kieran is a Chartered Safety Practitioner & became a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health) in 2009. Kieran has been a member of the National Executive of NISO, as well as founder member of the IOSH Committee. With a long established background in the manufacturing & construction sectors, Kieran has a wealth of knowledge regarding Project Management, Design & Safety Management Systems, along with what is required to in- still safe systems of work in all workplaces. He also deals with litigation issues, as well as H.S.A. criminal defences & expert witness. In accepting the roles of PSDP & PSCS as part of project management, it affords us the opportunity to consider the latest developments in ergonomics & the best preventative approaches.

He has previously worked as a Project Engineer in the Pharmaceutical Sector, Resident Engineer involved in the Construction of Various Civil Engineering Schemes and Site Agent on a Number of Structural Projects. Jim is a previous Gold Medal Winner in the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety Safety Practitioner Awards  for work in ensuring compliance with the Construction Regulations in RPS. One of his projects was recently (July 2017) shortlisted as a finalist in the APS National CDM Awards. He is the lecturer on the Institution of Occupational Safety And Health approved course on the role of the PSDP Course provided by the Construction Industry Federation.

Over the past 20 years he has gained a vast amount of experience of training personnel within Government Departments – as an HRM specialist and health and safety lecturer. His career path has helped him to gain the extensive insight and experience needed to deliver seminars which are comprehensive, unambiguous and concise. 

Tony has managed to create his own definitive style of delivery – which is both entertaining and engaging. He is keenly aware of the need to deliver ‘direct and relevant’ events, which give valuable awareness and an appreciation to his audiences, in Irish employment law and health and safety legislation.

Working with Mulcahy McDonagh & Partners (MMP) since 2000, he has served on many professional committees within the Construction Industry, and is Chairperson of the Society of Chartered Surveyors’ Dispute Resolutions Committee as well as Vice Chairman of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolutions Standing Committee. He is currently on the panel of conciliators/arbitrators/adjudicators for the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, the CIF and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, is a member of the Ministers Panel of Adjudicators, and is an accomplished author.

Since joining the Authority he has been involved in addressing Ergonomic and Manual Handling issues at a strategic and workplace level and has acted as an Expert Witness in the Courts.

His main areas of work include the development of regulations and guidance, completion of regulatory inspections, representing the HSA on NSAI, EU and National Disability Authority work groups. He developed the Manual Handling and People Handling Training Framework in co-operation with the QQI and the HSA Manual Handling Training Advisory Group.

His main area of work at the present time relates to Ergonomics Risk Management.

He previously worked with Intel Ireland, Medtronic and Nypro Limited.

He graduated with a M.Sc. in Safety and Ergonomics from NUI, Galway, and a B.Sc. in Quality Management from Sligo Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Member of IOSH, member of the Irish Ergonomics Society and a Member of Engineers Ireland.

Ita is also Managing Director of Leyden Consulting Engineers (LCE) Ltd. – Safety, Training and Ergonomic Consultants.

Ita Leyden is a chartered engineer, ergonomist and a chartered member of the professional body for health and safety, the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) with over 25 years’ experience in the ergonomics, engineering, training and safety fields. She was one of the first in Ireland to qualify with a M.Sc. in Ergonomics, Health, Safety and Hygiene from University College Galway.

Ita’s work experience spans a variety of roles in engineering and health and safety, including at senior management in the pharmaceutical industry. Ita provides expertise to a variety of industry and service sectors, from retail, transport and manufacturing to construction. Consequently, Ita is involved in all areas of safety, from ergonomic design and assessment, provision of expert witness testimony through to process safety and training, implementation of behavioural based safety programmes and development of safety management systems.

Ita is a part time lecturer of ergonomics in University College Dublin (UCD).

He is also an Accredited Mediator. Prior to commencing practice as a Solicitor in 2015, Shay practiced for fifteen years as a Barrister mainly on the Dublin Circuit. Shay holds professional memberships of the Institute of Physics (Chartered Physicist), and Royal Society of Chemistry (Chartered Chemist). Before coming to law, Shay was an Inspector with the Health and Safety Authority and was employed in the microelectronics industry as a senior engineer.
