Maurice Dockrell is a former barrister with nearly 20 years experience.

He is now a Senior Litigation Solicitor with Coughlan White & Partners, Co Kildare. He has extensive experience in Expert Witness Evidence, gained through his litigation practice.

He has a developed a particular interest in the training of expert witnesses and has delivered expert witness and courtroom skills courses to a broad range of professionals across the public service. He has also turned his attention to the factors involved in judicial decision-making having designed and delivered a customised six day training programme for the Labour Court, Equality Tribunal and Rights Commissioners on quasi-judicial decision making.

Maurice is a former Chairperson of the Private Security Authority, former member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal and a former member of the Health Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry as the owner of his own PQS firm, a builder’s QS and also a client. He has specialised in construction claims and disputes since 2004. He is on the Adjudicator, Arbitrator and Conciliator Panels of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, Construction Industry Federation and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.He has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry as the owner of his own PQS firm, a builder’s QS and also a client. He has specialised in construction claims and disputes since 2004. He is on the Adjudicator, Arbitrator and Conciliator Panels of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, Construction Industry Federation and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
