Dr Victor Hrymak is a fire & safety consultant, expert witness and the principal lecturer for the MSc in Environmental Health & Safety at the Dublin Institute of Technology.

He has over 30 years of experience with public and private sector organisations. This extensive experience includes inspection, project management and enforcement roles in London, as well as the head of Fire & Safety for Trinity College Dublin. He is a published safety author and has presented at National & International academic conferences as well as many professional fora. His expertise and research interests involve safety auditing, the selection and conduct of risk assessments and the implementation of safety management systems.

Niall Whelton (B.SC (Hons) Architectural Technology) is currently an Inspector of Fire and Estates within the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA).

He is part of a team of inspectors with responsibility for the regulation of adult social care services including services for older persons and people with disabilities.

Before joining the Authority, Niall worked as a Fire Prevention and Building Control Officer with Cork County Fire and Building Control Authority for eight years, enforcing fire safety and building control legislation.
