Aine O’Reilly, BSc Nursing Studies, University College Cork (2005); MPharm (Master of Science in Pharmacy) University of Sunderland, UK (2012); Higher Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, University of Sunderland, UK (2015). Aine experience is hospital based. Areas of practice include MAU, Cardiology, Antimicrobials and Care of the Older Person (NH). Aine is currently working as a Senior Pharmacist on an integrated care team, the STEP team (South Tipperary Enablement Programme for the Older Person). She is a member of the Hospital Pharmacists Association of Ireland, Older Persons Special Interest Group. Medication safety plays a major role within Aine’s practice. The patient remains central in Aine’s medication recommendations, aiming to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Her special interests include medication optimisation/polypharmacy, de-prescribing, anticholinergic burden and bone health.
