Alison is a dedicated consultant in the Climate and Environment practice at Philip Lee. She is a qualified barrister with extensive knowledge of planning and environmental law and a particular focus on delivering sustainable strategic infrastructure within the evolving requirements of EU and Irish law and policy. In March 2024 she completed a PhD on ‘Reconciling the Objectives of Environmental Protection and Climate Mitigation in EU Law: The Problem of Renewable Energy Project Authorisation’ and this issue centrally informs her strategic and advisory based practice in Philip Lee. As a core member of Philip Lee’s Climate and Environment practice, Alison works with both public and private sector clients as they seek to contribute to the achievement of Ireland’s climate mitigation targets.
