David O’Malley

David graduated with a B.C.L from NUI Galway in 2004. He obtained a Masters in European and Comparative Law from UL in 2005. He tutored and lectured in the Law Faculty of NUI Galway and trained with now Callan Tansey Solicitors. Upon qualification he became a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence Department of Callan Tansey Solicitors. He was appointed Partner in Callan Tansey in August 2018. David specializes in complex personal injury and medical negligence litigation. He has been involved in some of the largest cases in the history of the state and landmark Law. David also represents families at Inquests and has given lectures to the Law Society of Ireland and other organisations. He recently co-authored a book “ Medical Inquests” due for publication in March 2022.
