James Kane is a civil practitioner with a special interest in judicial review, planning and environmental law, public procurement, education law, constitutional law, commercial law, Garda compensation and asylum law, and appears regularly before quasi-judicial tribunals. He is a visiting lecturer in environmental law at Trinity College Dublin, School of Natural Sciences and also lectures at the Honorable Society of Kings Inns and Griffith College. James has published over a dozen peer reviewed articles on a broad range of topics, including environmental law, planning law, judicial review, procurement and constitutional law. He is a member of the Irish Environmental Law Association and provides an update on environmental legislation at each meeting of the Association, and also regularly contributes an EU law column to the Commercial Law Practitioner journal.
