Mark is an active member of Dublin Fire Brigade with over 35 years’ operational and management experience. He is currently a Senior District Officer with responsibilities for Fire Prevention in the Dublin area. Mark has responsibility for implementing fire safety legislation which involves Fire Services Act 1981/2003, Building Control Act 1990 and the Dangerous Substance Act 1972. He offers fire safety advice for business and community, promotes fire safety in domestic dwellings, and monitors fire safety management of buildings and structures. He is actively involved in major event management, festivals, sporting events, concerts etc. Mark carries out regular fire safety inspections in all places of assembly. He has responsibility to inspect and comment to the Circuit and District Court Licensing Application Mark is Information Management Officer (IMO) and an instructor for the Major Emergency Management (MEM) Eastern Region Ireland. He is currently an Assistant Hosting Partner with EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation with responsibility for the efficient delivery of the Operational Deployment Course throughout Europe.
