Mary Condell BCL, Solicitor, MA (Mediation and Conflict Intervention), is a practicing solicitor and mediator. Before becoming legal advisor to Sage Advocacy, a support an advocacy service for vulnerable adults older people and healthcare patients she spent many years in private practice advising vulnerable adults. She is co-founder and former chair of Solicitors for the Elderly in Ireland and a member of the NDA expert group preparing draft Codes for the Decision Support Service. She is also a member of Disability Lawyers Rights Network. She teaches at MA level in NUI Maynooth, and for Sage and the Law Society on, inter alia, the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and its practical application for professionals and others dealing with vulnerable adults.
