Orla Fitzgerald

Architect practicing within Dispute Resolution, Fitzgerald Associates

An architect in practice for over 25 years, working on a diverse range of projects including bespoke office and commercial developments, conservation, commercial fit out and multi unit residential projects. Previously a member of RIAI Council (2006-2013) and Chair of RIAI International Affairs committee. Orla has served as a member of the RIAI Competencies Work group, RIAI Exam Board and Technical Assessment Board as established under Building Control Act 2007. A member of the stakeholder working group liaising with the Department of the Environment Community and Local Government in relation to the Code of Practice for Inspecting and Certifying Buildings and Works under the Building Control Amendment Regulations 2014, and nominee to the Building Control Management System oversight group. Orla is also an arbitrator and conciliator, and currently pursuing an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution in Kings College London,
