Sam Francey is a Senior Associate in the Healthcare team at Carson McDowell. Sam graduated with a LLB (Hons) from the University of Dundee, Scotland in 2015 and obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies in 2018. Sam was admitted as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2018 and worked at another Commercial law firm where he specialised in defence insurance litigation, primarily handling high-value, catastrophic personal injury claims on behalf of major UK and EU insurance companies. Sam joined Carson McDowell’s Healthcare team in Dublin in October 2020 and was admitted as a Solicitor in the Republic of Ireland in December 2020. Sam acts exclusively on behalf of medical defence organisations and insurers, representing the interests of medical practitioners in defending a broad spectrum of high-value, complex clinical negligence, dental and data protection claims, with a special interest in class action claims.
