Brian Gleeson

Interim Chief Executive at Wicklow County Council

Brian Gleeson is Acting Chief Executive of Wicklow County Council. Brian joined Wicklow County Council in September 2017, having previously worked for An Garda Siochana for 14 years in the role of Management Accountant. During his time with Wicklow County Council, Brian has worked as the organisation’s Director of Finance as well as District Manager for Wicklow Municipal District. He was appointed Acting Chief Executive of the Council in January 2022. A native of Wicklow Town, he holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) and is qualified as an Associated Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
